After the misery of Good Friday comes the joy of Easter Day. The confusion and excitement for the disciples of seeing Jesus again must have been incredible. We read in Luke how various people had seen the Lord.

A popular story is how 2 disciples were walking to Emmaus when they were joined by another person. They did not recognise him as Jesus until they were sharing a meal later that evening. Luke 24 says that: Jesus told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day…You are witnesses of these things.”

As well as reading the various resurrection stories for our selves, we can read them to children using these books.
