04/07/2024How do you start a conversation about Mental Health?
It is often an invisible illness that others don’t know about. It can make sufferers feel embarrassed, ashamed or guilty about admitting there is something wrong. Sometimes people wouldn’t suspect a difficulty because the one who actually needs help can be so ‘jolly’ and helpful to others.
There is no ‘one answer fits all’ type of remedy, but we can educate ourselves about the many types of mental illnesses that there are. We don’t have the skills to find a specific treatment, but we can stand next to a friend incase they want to lean on you, without becoming reliant on you.
So…read a book, become more aware and challenge yourself to learn more about the types of Mental Health.
