Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”

These lines are easy to say. These lines need considerable thought in order to comprehend. However, we know that the message is true.

Many songs and hymns celebrate the resurrection of Jesus and their words can be uplifting. I’ve chosen the words in the third verse of “In Christ Alone” to share here:

There in the ground, His body lay
Light of the world, by darkness, slain
Then bursting forth in glorious day
Up from the grave, He rose again
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me
For I am His and He is mine
Bought with the precious blood of Christ
