This week we have been thinking about the Feast of the Epiphany. I expect a lot of you have been to Infant Nativity plays. I love them, especially when you know how much effort the young children have put in. There is much excitement when children find out their roles within the story. Wise Men, the gifts they carry and the behaviour of the camels can be quite a challenge!

The story of the Wise Men raises many emotions and questions for us, such as:

• When did the Wise Men start their journey and where did they come from?
• How did they feel when they presented such unusual gifts?
• Why was Herod so afraid of this baby? Jealousy? Feeling threatened or inadequate? Frightened that he would be overthrown?
• Dreams were received by the Wise Men and then Joseph. How do we react to our dreams?
• Do we stop and reflect on what is written in Matthew 2?

Maybe we should re-read this well know story and think about the different characters and how they behave.
